Haack joins INES Board, Bleschke continues as CEO

Carsten Haack (Trianel Gasspeicher Epe GmbH & Co. KG) succeeds Alain Caracatzanis (Storengy Deutschland GmbH) as Member of the Board at INES. The latter resigned from his office before the end of the term. Sebastian Bleschke was confirmed in office early on and will continue to lead the affairs of INES as sole Chief Executive.

Alain Caracatzanis resigned from his position as Member of the INES Board with effect from 1 October 2018. Carsten Haack has now taken his place and was unanimously appointed to the Board by the General Assembly for the remainder of the current term of office until 31 December 2019. "Mr. Haack has been actively involved in INES for several years now. We are therefore delighted for him to join the Board. Carsten Haack not only actively develops INES, but has also proven to be an absolute expert in the subject of gas storage," commented Bernd Protze, INES Director. Carsten Haack, as Board Member of INES, will especially work to ensure fair competitive conditions for gas storage facilities compared to other flexibility providers. "If we take a look at the current situation, there is still a lot to be done to achieve this goal," he explains.

There is also news at INES management level. Sebastian Bleschke, who has been managing the association's affairs since April 2016, has been confirmed by the members in his office. "Mr. Bleschke has significantly developed INES in recent years and successfully brought the topics of gas storage into the political debate. We thank Mr. Bleschke for his excellent work and look forward to continuing to work with him," commented Peter Schmidt, Deputy Director of INES. Sebastian Bleschke himself explains, "The core task of INES is to show politicians the substantial contributions of gas storage to energy policy goals. But there is also a need to talk about previously untapped potential. I will continue to focus on that in the future."
